A course for clinic staff on how to enter and use important codes to enter when gathering background information on patients (for billing, etc).
The Ask: In order for private clinics to receive adequate funding, a certain amount of “codes” related to patient history, treatment, etc. need to be entered into DAI (coding software).
These codes are entered by various staff members, but were missing key information.
This course was created to teach staff on how to enter and use important codes to enter when gathering background information on patients.
The Audience: All staff at addiction clinic (targeted to doctors, nurses, administrative staff).
The Transformation: Using the “code thesaurus” created by budget manager, a short interactive course was made to help “code” patients in specific situations.

The Results: Increase in use of social codes by staff (from 31% in March 2024 to 57% in December 2024).
