A course for clinic staff on how to enter and use important codes to enter when gathering background information on patients (for billing, etc).
The Ask: In order for private clinics to receive adequate funding, a certain number of codes related to patient history, treatment, etc. need to be entered into the DAI (coding software).
These codes are entered by various staff members, but they were missing key information.
This course was created to teach staff how to enter important codes when gathering background information on patients.
The Audience: Doctors, nurses, administrative staff at clinics.
The Transformation: A short interactive course was created using the “code thesaurus” created by the budget manager to help “code” patients in specific situations.

The Results: An increase in the use of social codes by staff (from 31% in March 2024 to 57% in December 2024).
